The Art Berg Fund was created to provide grants to 501(c)3 organizations in which an NSA member is involved as an active volunteer for use in a technology-related project that enhances communication for the benefit of the clients of the non-profit organization.
Examples of the types of projects eligible for funding include but are not limited to the following:
- Create and distribute free audio packages to the blind.
- Provide software or hardware to an after-school program, shelter, transitional house, etc.
- Develop a wireless project to connect at-risk children and/or their parents to 911 hotlines.
- Offer a training program in sign language to parents or siblings of the deaf.
- Develop and maintain an online community "chat room" for foster children who meet at "camp" and wish to remain connected.

The 2012 Art Berg Grant application is now available! Submission deadline is April 2, 2012. Grant amount for 2012 is $4,000.
